Introducing the FYSO Strings & Brass Ensembles
In addition to the current youth orchestra programs, the Fremont Youth Symphony Orchestra proudly announces two new ensembles for the 2019-2020 Season - a Strings Ensemble and a Brass Ensemble. The new Strings Ensemble is for late beginner level and meets on Mondays while the Brass Ensemble is for intermediate/advanced level and meets on Sundays. Both ensembles meet weekly for just 1.5 hours.
Auditioning is not required.

Amberle Mitchell, Brass Ensemble Conductor
AMBERLE MITCHELL received a Bachelor Degree in Arts/Music Performance from California State University Hayward in Hayward, CA and graduated Cum Laude.
She guest conducted CSUH Percussion Ensemble in 2008 and was the CSUH Orchestra Assistant Director in 2008. She also received a Conducting Graduate Degree from Central Washington University.
Since 2014, Amberle has been a Fremont Unified School District music teacher at Washington High School directing two bands, choir, string orchestra, as well as the band director for the local junior high school.
She also taught band, music appreciation courses and string orchestra in the San Lorenzo Unified School District from 2011 to 2014.

Pay by check in the amount of $525.00 ($500 for tuition plus $25 non-refundable registration fee), payable to Fremont Symphony. Please note either “Strings Ensemble” or “Brass Ensemble” and the student's name.
Mail or drop off check in sealed envelope to 3010 Middlefield Ave, Fremont, CA 94539.
Please note: Parents are required to sign up for volunteer duties. Also, there will be an additional assessment of $45 for the Parents Discretionary Fund which will include a FYSO T-shirt and a concert gift award for your child at the end of the Season.
